Chained Lightning: Watch This Naked Altered Make A Chassis Dyno Pull With A Roaring 434ci Small Block Ford Engine

We always find it cool when a bare chassis style race car is on the chassis dyno. There’s just something about being able to watch the slicks grow, watch the whole machine strain against the straps, and ultimately listen to the engine really work at full throat. Sure, being at the drag strip is the best place to test but sometimes it’s a lot smarter to get your new engine on the dyno first so that when you hit the track you’ve got a baseline to work off of and your sorting of a new engine or combo can be smoother and quicker.

This car normally wears a Bantam style body on it and it’s a cool piece. The wheelbase looks a little longer than traditional altereds but because of it, we’re guessing that the sucker is a lot of fun to drive. The engine is a 434ci small block Ford that uses SC-1 heads. That means it likes RPM as the SC-1 is designed to move a lot of air and that huge Dominator carb topping the whole thing off means the same thing.
